Margot Miller Artist/Educator
Margot Miller is an Honours Graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design (College Medal Winner) and the Ecotourism Management Programme, Fleming College. She is a recipient of a Design Canada Award and has exhibited at numerous galleries and shows including the Art Gallery of Ontario, the National Film Board of Canada and the Ontario Crafts Council. As a lecturer and instructor in the arts and the business of art, she has taught at Sheridan College of Crafts and Design, St. Lawrence College, Queen's University and Fleming College. For the past 16 years she has run her own studio and shop, designing and printing clothing, yardage, floor cloths and furniture, that have sold in shows and stores in Canada and the United States. She has traveled extensively in the Far East documenting traditional textile techniques, and has worked as a designer for a Canadian company in India. |
