Learn to paint stripes, plaids, washes, rag roses, cascading florals, animal, fish, leaf or foot prints using environment-friendly, colour fast, washable dyes.  Add ribbons, buttons,  fringes and sequins if you want to add surface design embellishments.

Let the historic lodge on the lovely Amherst island, it’s sheep, wild flowers and vast lake landscape, inspire your creative explorations.  Paint a canvas floor cloth, and when finished and sealed with an acrylic water base product, it becomes a  decorative hardwearing, washable alternative to carpet (floorcloth was the forerunner of linoleum).

Experiment with a wonderful palette of colour, from strong sun brilliants, to soft summer hues.    Using a simple technique, design your own stencil for animal footprints, tribal motifs, fish, birds, patterns and textures etc. Paint cascading flowers, print real leaf prints, rag roses, dots and stripes.

Come and enjoy the lovely flora and fauna around us with  an action packed workshop for students of any level.  All students will take home their own designed floor cloth...a wild inspiration!   Material Fee:  $10.

Workshop, Presentations, Food and Accommodation at the Lodge Cost: $480.

(3 nights with meals and workshop)

Workshop with Presentations and Lunch - $255.00 ( no accommodation)

Please Note: Day Students are welcome. Day students can have snacks and lunch for $35 a day.  You can book dinners at the Lodge for an additional cost.
