July 11 - 15 2011 Upcycle and recycle you furniture and or accessories with texture, pattern and colour, tailored to match your cottage or home. If you have an old piece of furniture that doesn't fit the style of one of your rooms, trasform it into a work of art. Silk Screening and Painting on Fabric June 28, 29, 30 2011 In this three day class, create table cloths, place mats, duvet and pillow covers or yardage for wearable art, in colours that are reminiscent of soft Summer breezes or the sizzling oranges and pinks of hot Summer days. Paint or print cascading florals, animal prints, repeat geometric motifs, adding colour, layering and transparencies. We will experiment with wonderful colours and patterns and learn basic tecniques of silkscreen, leaf printing and hand painting. Bring what you want to embellish, print and decorate using environment-friendly, colour fast, washable dyes. Students will receive a supply sheet upon registration. 10am - 4pm
Riviving Furniture September 24 & 25 2011 Do you have an old piece of furniturre tucked away in the corner of the cottage, boathouse or garage? Transform your furniture with textures and colour to create a work of art. Learn the tips and tricks for that 'sun soaked' yellow or the white washed 'battered' look of aged antiques and cool 'shabby chic', all ideal for the wide porches on the St. Lawrence. Students will receive a supply sheet upon registration. 10am - 4pm
